Making Memories CEO Dan Nelson
You know how we at Making Memories love a great promotion.  In recent years, we've given away truckloads of our best papers and embellishments. We've celebrated with the many recipients who have won a Slice Cordless Digital Designer. And we've even held contests that helped us discover incredible new talent for our world-class design team. But NOTHING compares to what we are about to give away to Slice lovers this year!
CHA Slice Giveaway Event
Our biggest-ever promotion kicks off this week at the Craft & Hobby Show in Anaheim, and we're doing it to demonstrate a new invention that will make your Slice more enjoyable than ever.

What are we giving away, and what is the invention?  Well - that's where our story ends. At least for two days, until we host our "big reveal" at CHA.

We hope you will join us on our blog, as well as on Facebook and Twitter, where we'll share our exciting news with you at the moment we're telling the industry.  Stay with us during the Show (Sunday, January 24 through Wednesday, January 27), where we'll unveil our latest paper programs, Slice accessories and more.  Plus, we'll be giving away even more of our new materials, since you know it's one of our favorite things to do!

We look forward to sharing our time at CHA with you!  Stay tuned ...

Project Spotlight : Love Struck!LoveStruck Garland
"Love is, above all, the gift of oneself." - Jean Anouilh  If indeed love is a gift of oneself, then our latest program release called Love Struck should be considered the wrapping.  This new collection overflows with romantic symbols, phrases and textures that just beg to be shared with the most important people in your life. Suzonne Stirling helped us create this heartwarming garland, combining some of the programs new die-cut papers, velvet-finished trims, and epoxy topped embellishments with shapes and fonts crafted using various Slice Design Cards including the Slice Wedding Design Card.  Visit Making Memories to gaze upon the new Love Struck program, or visit www.WhySlice.com to see this and other new Design Cards that will begin shipping this week.

Spotlight On: Slice Tool Kit
Slice Tool Kit
We offer a number of accessories and tools for the Slice, but do you know that we've also bundled them into a compact, go-with-you-anywhere Tool Kit as well? Our design team has spent hours working (okay, playing) with the Slice in order to determine the best tools to make the cutting, crafting, adjusting and lifting that much easier.  The Slice Tool Kit (MSRP: $29.99) features 15 individual solutions including:

  • Reusable storage case
  • Spatula
  • Craft Knife
  • Paper piercer
  • Scissors
  • Five replacement blades with replacement tool
  • Six-inch metal ruler
  • Bone folder
  • Tweezers
  • Scraper
Best of all, this compact Tool Kit fits perfectly in the Slice Signature Handbag, available in either pink on black (as shown above) or turquoise on black.
